Abstract: THE INFLUENCE OF LOGISTICS OUTSOURCING ON SUPPLY CHAIN PERFORMANCE
This study examines the influence of logistics outsourcing on supply chain performance, focusing on its impact on efficiency, cost reduction, and service quality. A survey design is selected for its ability to gather quantitative data from a large sample. Using Taro Yamane's formula, a sample size of 320 respondents is determined to ensure statistical significance. The case study is based in Enugu, focusing on a retail company that has outsourced its logistics operations. The reliability coefficient score of 0.87 confirms the survey's reliability. Findings indicate that logistics outsourcing significantly enhances supply chain performance by improving efficiency, reducing costs, and enhancing service quality. Recommendations include carefully selecting logistics outsourcing partners and continuously evaluating their performance.
